Wim Van Hooste sagði...

Hi Karel,

I was looking for this book for years, every time I visited Iceland in the 90s. It sold out very quick in Iceland. One day, on my birthday, I found 2 (two) copies of the book in a second hand book shop downtown Reykjavik! The book is full of pictures and is written by an Icelandic professor in Sociology (specialized in Rock music).
I think you can find it on Ebay or maybe through an online bookstore.
There is another very good book, but also in Icelandic on the history of Icelandic music by Dr Gunni aka Gunnar Larus Hjalmarsson: Ertu ekke allir i studi? (also on my blog). You can order it through www.smekkleysa.net (website is renewed at the this moment). Author Dr Gunni signed it for me when I ordered this book (he works for the Smekkleysa/Bad Taste company mail order service).

Take care,
Keep on listening to Icelandic music,
