Before múm (1998) there was Andhéri (1997)

múm was formed in 1998 by Örvar Þóreyjarson Smárason and Gunnar Örn Tynes, both from Reykjavik. They had been in a "new wave" band called Andhéri who resembled in equal parts The Pixies and the Swedish band Bob Hund. Andhéri released a 7-track EP called "Fallegir Ósigrar" (“Beautiful defeats”) in 1997. It was part of the Smekkleysa CD Box (# 7), SM72CD.

Do you have a song by them named 'hvernig á að særa vini sína' (how to hurt your friends)?

There's a messageboard over at http://adtunes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98943 looking for it.
